Relocate the ecm

Default Relocate the ecm

Ive been told i can move the ecm into the dash instead of on the wheel well so it stays dry, anyone done this, pics?

So you want to remove it from the pass side fender/firewall corner and put under glove box? There are ECU ‘s back there already, plus the blower motor. Could be a cool mod if done carefully. Any idea how you will mount it? Is the harness long enough to be relocated without having to cut into anything?

I was told this a few years ago to keep it dry

I knew a guy that did this. Its a good idea because the GEMS ECU doesn't like water. I think he just made an extension from an old wiring harness and pushed it through the firewall.
