Well noone responded in the wtb forum so I will post this here..

From what I have read you can program any 94-95 Disco remote to any matching vehicle with a process. My last remote just fell apart internally and I am looking for a new remote(s). .

 

I got mine threw ebay and followed the instructions in the owners manual. I beleive I payed $28 each.

 

Was it through a retailer? Are they identical to the original or just a aftermarket?

 

I cant remember if it was a dealer or not but they were used OEM. I cant find my receipt for them but I think it was from someone parting the truck out.

 

I hear ya. I tried contacting a couple of people parting them out here and have gotten no response.

The earlier single button remotes are user-programmable.
(per the rave manual)

The later DI two button have to be sync'd with the alarm. (dealer)
If it's not the orig. & it's freq. must match.
