Default Remove rear window D1

I would like to remove my rear window and put on a plastic snap on window, then I could put my kayak in or lumber or anything else I might want to haul.
Has anyone done or seen anything like that?
I haul my kayak on top now but at my age it's getting harder to do even with the little step ladder I have, especially after a long paddle, trying to get it back up is tuff.

Having the rear window open could cause exhaust gasses to be sucked into the passenger compartment. I would be careful about having a window across the rear open or not completely sealed.

I would agree that there are times when it would be nice to have something hanging out the back end, it is tough to get those 2x6 up on the roof . I picked up a used ham radio antenna, shortest section was 20 ft long and putting 10 radials plus the main beam (31 ft) on top was not an easy task. I have hauled a few 2x4 10 ft with them sticking out the pass front window but I only had about a mile to go down the side roads....

Thanks for the reply, I would have to open the windows, at least in the rear like a Jeep Wrangler, that would be the reason for the snap on plastic window.
Maybe I will try a plexiglas window with a hinge, then it could be up or down, I don't use the rear windows wiper much since you can hardly see anything in the rear view mirror.

I don't know what a "jeep wrangler" is but the rangie is perfect for this 😁
