Default replace radio head unit

Planning on upgrading my head unit in my land rover discovery from the classic one to a touch screen with features including bluetooth and navigation, however I hardly know anything about the process and where to look. I stopped at Best Buy where I was informed that they don't do installation in land rovers. Now, I am looking for any OEM head units that are compatible with a discovery without having to cut into anything due to the fact that I will most likely have a friend of mine complete the installation. Any suggestions on where to find an OEM head unit that will fit?

I think the radios a standard size, iirc you need to run new speaker wires to wire around the amps, do a search here I know there's good threads on changing the radio

Any single-din aftermarket should work. Depending on what system you have, will dictate what harnesses you would need for proper integration. For example, if you have diversity antenna, OEM amplifier, etc. As drowsapp said, go to crutchfield and check out head units, then see what xtras you need, then shop around for best prices on components. I kept all oem wiring, amps, speakers and install was easy. I added sub and mono-bloc amp, and replaced the two blown speakers in rear hatch door. Sound is better than I had expected(originally planned all speaker replacement).
