Default retrofit wood trim

May not be everyone's thing, but I picked up all the wood from the junk yard months ago, finally got around to installing. The leather trimmed door panels on the donor truck were destroyed (truck burnt), all salvageable was the wood. Think I may have paid $10 for it all, and an hour or so work was well worth it in the end.

Ditto

Mine came with the wood still unsure if I like it, I have turned down the "deluxe " wood kits though

They include wood pannel in place of rubber mat on console, entire center of dash wood trimmed etc. Too much wood for me and it is not same style wood as above

Thanks. I like it, the single color of the door pannel was a bit boring, this updated it a bit. I did not put on the wood console, left that rubber, most I've seen were bad looking from age and too much wood as you said. I added the chrome door sills from that model as well, but that's all I'm gonna retrofit. I like the mix of the rugged standard interior with a few of the higher end touches.

Nice, I did the same thing on my '86 MB 300E buying some door wood trim from a later model 300E. The only real difference was that it was not "laid in" like the original, but mounted on top of the door panel, so it stuck out a little, but still looked good, as does yours.

I need new wood. Mine looks like crap. I have an LSE so my center console is wood. I have rubber to replace it but I'm in no hurry

My wood was starting to fade and crack so I unbolted all the wood accents, sanded, cleaned and sprayed them with some bed liner. I love the way the Black and Tan look

looks great. I love the wood. good score.
my drivers side got beat up, so I recovered all mine with wood veneers that I had left over from a recent furniture project.
