Default RH Front Window won't work - Motor, regulator and Switch all Good

I've been trying to get my RH front window working. Regulator is fine, Switch is fine (I plugged LH front window wiring harness to the switch and it works). Rover's North told me it was certainly the motor so I bought one. Replaced the motor and it still doesn't work!

When I actuate the switch I can hear a slight "clicking" sound behind the glove box so it seems that something electrical is happening when I actuate the switch.

Not sure where to go from here - already wasted the $$ on a new motor.

Love to hear any suggestions. Thanks!

Cracked window lift ECU, very common, usually effects the rear windows, DIY repair.
Open the glove box, take out the liner, remove the window lift ECU, open it, resolder all of the joints.
Put it back.

thanks for the reply. can anyone provide me a little more detailed description of the ECU so I can identify it? I pulled the glove box out several weeks ago to try and determine where the clicking sound was coming from (I'm guessing the ECU?) but I couldn't make sense of all the wiring and electrical components there. Maybe a photo?

Thanks so much!

OK, I found a thread with some pictures so I think I can get it out pretty easily.

However, I've read here in other posts that the ECU only controls the rear windows and there is a simpler relay controlling the fronts.

Can someone confirm or deny this? If it's true, can someone direct me to the proper relay that may be bad for the front windows?

Thanks y'all!

HAve you downloaded the RAVE manuals yet? It is all documented in the Electrrical T/S manual. You may be correct about the windows but then again maybe not since they ar also tied in with the alarm I think. Maybe not though.

Ok, if anyone else gets in this situation and hears that the window lift ECU only controls the rear windows, they're WRONG. I had the part soldered, re-installed and all windows were working again.

Thanks Spike555 for steering me in the right direction.
