Default Road hunting and twitchy steering

Well i got the RTE 3 inch lift, rebuild my front end new bearing's and seals on the rear, new brakes(calipers and rotors up front, just rotors rear) new pads all the way round. And a crap load of extra small stuff. ol willma is running great, just one problem..she road hunts reaaaaaally bad, and is quite twitchy. By twitchy i mean, holy crap i just hit a bump and im on the rumble strips twitchy. Is this normal for RTE lifts, If not any ideas in a general sense of what it could be ?

What shocks?? How are your bushings? Did you do anything about the front pinion angle/driveshaft?
The RTE 3" lift is a Heavy Duty lift. It rides better under a load. The best my '98 trail truck has ever ridden was when I had myself and two friends and all our camping gear, beer, food, and mountain bikes loaded into it. It rode like a Cadillac. Unloaded it's bouncy. It's a truck and I just accept that. My '96 daily driver has a 2" OME lift and Bilstein shocks and rides much smoother unloaded, but it can't handle the load the RTE springs can.

You may be one of the lucky people who installed a 3" suspension lift who needs castor corrected swivel ***** (the "right" way to fix it), or at least castor corrected radius arms.
Also may need an adjustable panhard rod to recenter your front axle.

bilstien shocks, poly buahings its not the ride, its stiff but i dont mind in the slightest. it just tends to squirt left or right quite quickly its dangerous. i was thinkin it was caster, where do i pick up the caster corrected swivel ***** ? As far as the radius arms, they come with the lift, allready corrected. Or did i assume incorrectly ? They came with the kit, honestly they best be for what you pay for it. Do they make a dropped pitman arm for the disco ?

RTE sells the castor corrected swivel *****, or at least used to.

Check bushes in panhard rod. Probably best to swap it out for an adjustable rod.

Check all four steering joints for play.

I second the castor correcting arms, but you say they're already installed?

How's your steering box? Any play in the wheel? Have you tried tighten the adjustment screw on top of the box?

Call Bill. They don't do the swivels any more. Get 6* radius arms and an adjustable panhard bar. Mine went way out of wack once I went 3".
