Default Roof Color

So I know this has been brought up a few times before, and I have thought about it before. But a roof that is a lighter color than the body. I have a black disco so I figured I'd do it tan. Well I found the perfect example of what it would look like at a local car dealer.
(yes I know its a Disco II)

Black Disco Black Roof, sorry but that reminds me of the ghetto cars that are painted opposing colors and have really shiny chrome wheels.

Agree on the ghetto or ganster look, maybe even 'government issued' looking.

I don't care for the look at all, but it would probably look better if it were just the roof...

I LOVE THIS TOPIC. I've thought about it a long time.

If all things were normal I'd have everything black (interior too) and keep the Beluga Black all around.

IF I only had to paint the roof (which is the case) I'd never get it to match so I wouldn't even try. I'd choose probably flat black..I like stove pipe paint color and may in the end do this.

BUT it's so hot here and the direct sun is a killer so I'm really considering aluminum (galvanized) color and doing it with the paint from KBS by brush. It self levels and I love the quality of my KBS painted interior.

If you like the two tone look (poorly represented by the above truck) aluminum might be a good choice. Kinda the same as a white one but softer looking in my opinion...and more industrial.

Looking at that photo again...I don't think I can go aluminum color. Looks like flat black and a revive every year for me. Some roof insulation too.
