Rotoflex joint
If your thinking of replacing your rotoflex joint and want to replace the coupler seal/sleeve, make sure you have the right tool!
Here is how mine looked after 3 hours of painstaking frustration, utilizing every tool a Audi dealership has to offer. Including 3 different slide hammer bearing removal tools, hammer and chisel, air hammer which broke 2 bits. What finally got it out was the hammer and chisel breaking into a couple pieces. I am sure Land Rover has a removal tool, or and driveshaft shop.

Hahaha I got a used set of third members to put my ARB lockers in and they didnt come out without a fight either. I was using a 7lb slide hammer puller and they wouldnt budge I finnaly had to use the good ole blue wrench to get them out. Thankfully I had a new set of flanges there when I did it I got a little crazy and cut a little too mutch off
so I realized the other day that my rotoflex is pretty trashed. Is this something I'll have to deal with or can I just replace the rubber piece itself?
It looks pretty straighforward, I won't even have to put the truck on jacks. (benefit of a small lift

You shouldnt have to take it out if all your doing is changing the rotoflex out. I know on non lifted trucks you have to take a prybar to get the joint over the centering pin. If your lifted you shouldnt have much of a problem getting it off. Just make sure your new one is on the proper direction if not they dont last very long at all.
thanks. I was backing a trailer up a hill and stopped to unload it, just for kicks I was looking underneath the truck..whoa is that rubber piece trashed. I'm a little scared to drive it til i get it fixed.
