Default Rovers North Swivel Ball Seal Kit

Anyone used this kit? It says it includes hub seal, is that the RTC3511 for the wheel bearing? Im doing my wheel bearings at the same time as the swivel and dont want to end up with extra parts.

Thanks

Unlikely it's the RTC3511, more likely the stock Disco hub seal which isn't as good a seal, particularly if you off-road.

Thanks for the info, I'll order the RTC seals since I drive a lot off road.

One more question. The leak in my swivel appeared right after a weekend of wheeling. I added some grease and a little gear lube to the swivel so I could drive until the parts came but the leak has went away. If the leak doesn't re-appear should I still reseal it?

I have read that the use of the one-shot type grease is the way to go and that you don't need to do the reseal with the grease, but like I said, that is what I have read so I have yet to see from experience.

I do have the grease packs on order from Trevor at Rovah Farms, he had them for less than 10 bucks each so I ordered two on line last week. I spoke to him Monday and he was going to ship them then. I am expecting them to arrive today or tomorrow. This is my first order from him and first use of the grease packs instead of gear oil in the swivels.

I will see how it goes and let you guys know the results.

Keep in mind that if gear oil can leak out then water can leak in.

How right you are there, when I drained it that was apparent. I saved what came out of the right side to compare to the left side when I finish up. The stuff is in a pickle jar in the basement.

I'll be finishing up the one shot tonight I guess. Then I'll have a few shots of Jameson I believe.
