Rarely freezing in Texas Spike! Probably be windy and rainy soon though!

It will be interesting to see how they work it out. If the damages are considered too high, they will be wanting to totaql it. What is Fair Market Value for one like her?

Minus the LED Headlights of course!

Old people should not be allowed to drive.
When I drove truck I was parked making a delivery at a small town gas station/coffeshop/restaurant and one of the old guys went to leave and two footed it, left foot on the brake, right foot on the gas and pushed a S-10 with his Lincoln into the fuel tank of my truck. (they were parked nose to nose)
The local Sheriff sent the old guy home and said he would not file a report but did call my boss to tell him what happened so I would not get in trouble.

I honestly believe that once you reach the age of 70 you need to take a driving test every year to renew your licence.
As a professional driver I see to many old people pulling out infront of fast moving cars and doing lots of dangerous stuff on the road.
They are worse than teenagers.

re: Old people should not be allowed to drive.

Well they do need more frequent testing, and all of us with aging parents, or who are pushing that magic time in your life, need to plan for the day when the vehicle is sold or a driver is hired. Modern medicine will keep us around longer than a Disco.

Of course the problem is compunded by so many old people owning old big cars, which can do more damage than a small car. And wearing these damned progressive lenses that make us look like bobble head dolls trying to focus on that blob we think might be an approaching FedEx truck. A person with lots of wrinkles is ready to add some to your truck as well.

Dont worry Buzz, you're age group is safe, more of you guys vote than young people so you will be able to drive until you run into a parked car pumping gas.

I agree with this spike. I see so many bad drivers on the road I'm glad I have a LR.
If they total it, make sure you take some "parts" off or out. Why would they care if it had an engine/transmission?? Especially if its "gone" before they take her. Spare tire is a must + Jack. Factory radio work? If so take it. Seat switches? Maybe some of those computers behind the glove box, really easy to come out. (not vin specific). Head lights/tail lights? Something to think about.. How much to buy it back if they do take her? Might get it for a few hundo.
