You seem to have easily objectable concerns, that with a little common sense can be answered, or the risk assessment is flawed as compared to other risks.

Of the entire operation, you seem to be extremely focused on the smallest and least of my concerns. A rePlacement radiator,
My old radiator was not fixable, I tried, read my other posts.
A very cheap reluctor ring broke. 125 dollar part hundreds or more in labor if I had to rely on a mechanic.
This is a good ending. Owner wins and a landy stays on the road.
So what exactly is your interest or concern?

But since you're not the only one on this forum I thought I'd point out some other things to consider before everybody runs out and buys one. There are pros and cons to both and people need to weigh these when making the decision for what best suits their needs.
Where's Danny at? He's much more fun to have a debate with.

True, not many hard core guys would want a plastic tanked radiator, but then if it gets you back on the road for a decent cost, it may be a good alternative.
Too bad the PO bent the reluctor on the newly rebuilt engine. Glad you were able to fix that yourself. Too bad we even have such a weak point on our vehicles.
I hope I never have to deal with that myself.

No need to get all butthurt. It sounds like you were expecting everybody to ooh and ahh and pat you on the back. I'm glad you got your truck fixed and back on the road.
