Default Running really rough right now

My 97 DI is running rough right now. I even stopped and looked at a big 1983 4 door Lincoln Mark VI today to give the Rover a rest for a while.

Immaculate body, 80K original owner was the father of a family that owns a small chain of appliance stores locally.

He had dropped his price from 3 grand to 2500. I loolked it over breifly, asked if 2 grand would get it. He hesitated and said he would have to check with his brothers due to it being an estate sale, but most likely they would accept 2 grand.

I will see what happens next.

IT STUMBLES REALLY BAD! Kind of smells like gasoline odor. Possibly exhaust valves may be sticking or? Poor milage, sometimes runs strong then all of a sudden really rough. Not blowing any smoke or spewing anything.

Think I will go ahead and order new Kingsbourne wires and guides. But I need a solid ride for the wife and grandkids. I have the Rover as a two -seater junk hauler right now.

WaNT TO GET IT BACK TO SMOOTH AGAIN, JUST FRUSTRATED WITH IT FOR NOW.
