Default Rust on brake line and pressure valve

Hello everybody

I bought a 98 Discovery 1 needing TLC a month ago, and have done much reading through the RAVE and this forum.

I have a question that I havent quite been able to find an answer for...

There is major rust on the brake pressure reducing valve as well as on some of the brake lines between this valve and the ABS modulator/master cylinder. I got the valve and the accompanying lines from a salvage yard to replace the old rusted ones.

Can I simply unscrew the old lines, put the new ones in, and flush the system, or will this introduce air into the ABS modulator and/or drain master cylinder of fluid?

Do a standard 2 quart DOT 4 brake flush and you should be fine.
