That's awesome, I'm going to do something like that! Oh and some of the Discoveries had a gas tank recall. Call your local stealership and let them check your VIN. It's free, I even got a fuel pump and lines for free out of it

Now to move on to changing the front brakes to the Defender's! And how do you pop off the air bag cover on the passenger seat? Just a flat head? I don't want that thing exploding in my face or something..

I was thinking of rhino lining the entire interior? Put some oxide paint down to prevent rust then rhino over it? What do you think?
Oh and I found a guy who can reupholster my seats with stoplight red carbon fiber leather for $225/seat. $900 total for the two front seats and the whole rear bench seat.

I haven't ever felt Rhinoliner. I did research it and it's mostly a commercial application...they do it for you. But I did see a kit at the store so I guess that's what you're talking about. I did some plastic bits in truckliner, maybe rustoleum, and while the texture was fine for what I was doing, i don't think I liked it on the interior. Maybe the rhinoliner is a different quality. Regardless, make sure you use some sort of primer that they recommend so you insure it sticks right. I messed up my rear bumper by mixing products.
One of the reasons I like that KBS stuff is that it creates such a hard gloss (or semi/matte) shell. Like hot rod paint. No brush strokes even tho you use a brush. They even have samples on their website where they paint diamond plate and it looks great.
I just had my D1 seats priced at an upholster. The fabric matters and I basically chose the best black vinyl and he said $750 for all. We negotiated to $275 for the front seats alone and then I decided not to do it because I was putting too much money into my truck and I have too many problems.
If the floor comes out looking great, and you do your seats, you're gonna have to redo your plastic......dash and center console. Headliner....etc.
I bought some SEM paints for those bits. They also sit in the garage.

My boot floor looked something like this...
Rubbish how some folk try to hide it under silicone and strips of tin!!
Looks like this now...
All shiney and new, repair panel was £46 from the UK, you guys should have a whip round and do a bulk order from Paddock spares and split the shipping!!

Took it into the dealerand got a brand new tank and a new fuel pump all for FREE. Best birthday present I ever received.
I just finished taking care of the rust in the front foot wells. I just ended up riveting sheet metal and used undercoating paint to coat and seal (can't weld where I live ) I checked the rear seat/wheel arches/rear floor last weekend. I only need to replace the floor. I'm really thinking about using wood to replace the metal. Add a little flare plus, easy access to the underside if needed from the top. Thought about painting the Rover emblem on the wood as an added touch to appease the Gods. What do you guys think......Ye....or......Ne on the wood stained flooring?
