Default Scrounging around for used parts, what to look for?

I have been hitting up people on craigslist parting Disco's, looking for a few goodies for my truck.

Is there anything that I should be picking up from these vehicles if the price is right? I'm thinking of stuff that would be good to have for spares; alternator, MAF, ????

Alt, MAF, headlight/wiper stalk, O2's, y-pipe, axles, cv's, bottle jack...the list goes on and on.
Ideally you want to buy one whole and park it outback and pull parts as you need them.
One with a blown motor would be best, the rest of the engine parts would still be good just not the internals.

This.
I got my parts truck for $400 which is very good around me. It's more than paid for itself. I sold the tires and some interior trim pieces. Sold the radius arms to RoverTym even!!
I pulled all the sensors, alt, heads, exhaust manifolds, axles, driveshafts, window regulators, starter, diffs, fuel pump, headlights, taillights, etc.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have been looking for a parts truck but have not found one in my price range.

I have found some good deals on parts though.

What are 3rd members worth? They have about 200k miles on them. Considering buying a pair so I can upgrade to lockers and gears without taking my truck down for very long. I do not have the funds to throw at it all at once and obviously I can't run different gears front and rear.

Save your money, buy the lockers and then once you have them both install them at the same time.
Just because you have the parts does not mean you have to install them.

Good point.

Is it not worth having a spare set of diffs?

Spare diffs are fine, but not the 3rd member.
If you're putting in lockers you dont need spare diffs anyway.

Yep. I had my ARB locker already set up in a third and it sat in a bucket for damn near a year. Made myself wait till I had the money for both the compressor and HD axles at the same time.
