Wasn't there a company in the UK that makes larger cast headers? I've been on the hunt for those rare jewels for weeks!

They do help in power in most applications but as always I don't see them doing much for a Disco unless they are followed with high flow cats and a 2.5" dual system with a balance pipe. Not sure if there are even any other options for a Disco but I always expect to pay at least $400-$500 for a decent set of headers. The painted ones suck and get really hot, ceramic coated helps but you'll pay for it and again I'm not sure if such a product even exists.

If you want to get a little boost in umph and don't want to fool with headers, try porting your stock manifolds. Its easy to do and will often yield the same gains as headers on small displacement engines. There are tons of videos and how to online and even a first timer can be really successful if he/she doesn't rush things.

The factory manifolds aren't all that restrictive anyway, its all the garbage that follows them that chokes up the exhaust system.

They do have ceramic coated ones, they are about $500.
If I went the hedder route I was going to delete my cats and run a whole new custom exhaust, I know a shop that could do the whole thing, custom pipe bending and all, for about $125 plus mufflers.

If you wrap the cheap ones they cool off quite a bit, the main issue I've had with headman stuff is the welds breaking right at the manifold plate. That's mainly based on small block and big block GM applications but I imagine the same process is used welding all of their budget minded headers. $125 for the rest ain't bad, almost makes buying the ceramic coated ones worth it.

I got ceramic coated manifolds from Lucky8 and cut the CATs out. Old ones in perfect shape are just lying around.
