Sensor seal replacement Drivers side by radiator
I have a 1998 land rover discovery 1, Auto V8. So I've been searching for leaks and repairing them as i can locate them. There is a sensor located on the bottom drivers side of the radiator, on top of the oil? or transmission? entry line. Basically if you are standing infront of the car, it's on a line entering the radiator on the right side. Does anyone know what it does? It has a two prong connection and a boot over it. the closest thing I can find is that it is a transfer case fluid temperature sensor.
It's leaking fairly badly and I'd like to know what it is before getting a replacement gasket for it!

Transmission Cooler line & transmission temp sensor. If that is where it's leaking from you can simply remove it and install an O-Ring. However verify it's not being soaked by PS Fluid, or from the line itself. An aftermarket line is around 45.00.
So it's not a crush washer not an o-ring? That makes it way easier. I'm going to do the seal first then go for the lines if I need to. I've already done all the PS pump lines so those are all dry(for the moment).
