I third the Serpentine belt routing. How many people have come here only to find they routed it wrong and it slips at hwy speeds? Quadruple check with the 'correct' belt routing diagram (it's possible to put on two ways) ....also if the t-stat is in backwards.. fan backwards??

Lower red hose sucking in??

Start with the simple things first.

In most cases that's not true. Simple hand tools do the job. It's when a bolt snaps or having a hard time removing the fan clutch that you might need one for that purpose. I haven't had issue with two pumps, clutches and thermostats but I'm lucky like that...... most of the time.
