If rubbing on the inside frame, each side has its own steering limit adjusting bolt. If rubbing on the fender, more likely the body isn't straight, or the body needs lifted to accommodate the giant tires. Some folks cut the fender arch bigger for huge tires. Looks like you will need to do something, unless you never go over any bumps.
I hear ya, it does start to quickly increase in price, while at the same time it is all paid off.
Could it be the struts / springs are worn?
Possibly. I’m going to put a 5 inch lift with fender flares so when I get it all lifted, I will see how straight it is. Could also need an alignment really bad. It sat for 15 years. So only the Rover itself and the good lord know what she truly needs.
I sold my D2 which was immaculate to get this and rebuilt it, strictly for experience. My D2 was immaculate. Starting to think I may be a crazy person. Hahaha

O she’s gonna get a 5 inch lift minimum, and fender flares. Flares will be the next modification for sure. Still deciding if I want to buy flares or make them. Still undecided. I’m gonna make an exoskeleton too. It’s going to strictly be an off-road vehicle.
Hey maybe you know why, but on one front side the tire are rubbing, and on one side the tire isn’t rubbing. It’s like the axle isn’t aligned properly, I’ve never seen that before. Is there anything I should check that comes to mind?
Thanks!
double check your suspension bushings - could have bad bushing in the pan hard or bad tie rod. Good idea to have someone turning the wheel back and forth while you are under watching all the steering linkage (with the vehicle on its wheels on the ground). And dont forget to check the steering damper bushings (nothing to do with rubbing but will cause a wobble at speed).

It will be exciting to see your D1 transformation
I was in the same mind frame with a D2 that I made sure not to get dirty because it was so clean on the inside and out. Once I had an issue with the air shocks, I soon realized I wanted D1.
As I get older I realized I really dont need the power sunroofs; power locks; deluxe package all the bells and whistles.
A younger version of me had to have those things. Now I am fine with a windup vehicle that simply works every time.
My first D1 was a mess, not quite as bad on the outside as what you had but everything else was a mess. I learned how to read brittish wiring manuals, and RAVE manuals, changing out pivot *****, and even more wiring reworks that were done wrong. It went from 95K miles to just under 300K and when it finaly died, I swore i'd not buy another. 2 months later I was towing a 99 D1 home and I started over again. that was 4 years ago and I put about 50K miles on it before parking it in the back yard. Still runs great, just other things took priority. I still wouldn't hesitate jumping in it and taking a long trip. At least I know it is available if I need it! Cruising the trails, my son's 2023 trailhawk trying to keep up..

idk how that happened. Thanks. I’m starting to get discouraged with how much of a pain all this welding and cutting is. This is just the drivers side too.
