You need to go ahead and ****** those wet carpets out of there or it will just stay wet and corrode like a bastard.

FINALLY!! I got some time to work on Rover today!

I found a piece missing on the drivers side floor board up under the dash where the wheel well is. Doesn't seem to be too much corrsion under the carpet yet. It looks like you have to A) actually cut the carpet out around the center console or B) snap off all the rivets for the center console?

And of course now I can't open the hood for some reason to check out that coolant leak :/

Pull the hood release really hard, the cable stretches and the latch needs to be lubed too.
Use silicon spray to lube the latch and cable once you get it open.

 

why not i say! sounds like a fun project.
