Cool, thanks! There's more acronyms for these vehicles than a Fortune 500 company

Okay, experts... The mechanic says the intake air temp is reading -38 degrees in a heated garage. That would be the MAF, correct? I had them disconnect the MAF & the missing smoothed out right away.

No that temp reading is the intake air temp sensor, it is on the air filter box

Mine is now on high idle again but for the first time ever the alt is putting out over 14 volts????

Well then.... Atlantic British said that this issue would be corrected by the MAF, and I ordered one today (another $200.00 for the pile). Hope they were right. Guess I will find out on Monday when it gets here. My Ultragauge never gets to 14 volts. I'm doing happy dances at 13.3!! If the MAF fixes anything, I'll definitely let you know.

Isn't that a fuel tank pressure code? I got that once when I didn't tighten my gas cap enough.

I've been chasing the low voltage/flickering headlights issue for months with no luck.

If you can wait till the end of the silly season to work on your rig, you'd be much better off; especially if you need to order parts. I was racing to get my MAF ordered with the supplier's short holiday hours (what on-line parts house closes at 2:00? Or they weren't open at all this week. I'm more in the got to get this fixed now category, so I hope this is the part. I did do some checking and apparently the intake temp sensor is part of the MAF unless it's called something else.

Yep, I see it now... Although I didn't start it this morning, I did turn the key on & it's reflecting the actual ambient temp of 35 degrees on the ultragauge. Man, I hope I bet on the right horse ordering the MAF. If not, I won't be back on the road till this weekend with shipping time...

Well, thanks to UPS, my parts are sitting 25 miles away, and they won't open the trailer to get to my parts due to no ground service on New Years Eve. 7 days & 350 miles later you'd think they'd let me come by & pick them up myself instead of making me wait till a Thursday night delivery; I'm stuck like chuck... But the funny part of my issue is the Ultragauge reads the correct ambient temp, but the mechanic's scanner shows -38 for the intake air temp. Just a bad Disco week for us!
