Default Spark Plugs and cruise, argh!

So i swapped plugs this weekend, and it appears to be running rougher than before the swap. In addition, there is pronounced noise coming through my aftermarket stereo. I used Bosch Copper Plus (7907), but am thinking about changing them to something else. I pulled out Denso W16EXR-u11 plugs, that were gapped beyond recommendation (probably .040+). Any recommendation on choosing a new plug. Some posts are stating bosch platniums, and others are saying just use a cheap copper plug.

I also swapped out the cruise module for the DII one, (rewiring the new harness) but still no cruise. Is there an easy to test the vacuum pump (already replaced the vacuum lines), or other parts of the cruise system? I can hear the module click when i turn it on, and press the set/res buttons on the steering wheel.

Thanks!

Have you checked all your vacuum lines for the cruise control issue?
As for the plugs, seriously consider a set of E-3 spark plugs, no gapping required, lots of low end torque and a 5 year warranty.

looks like it was the vacuum pump. it works, but doesnt have enough suction to move the throttle diaphragm. (All hoses tested OK). It looks like the D2 pump is the same but has 5 connectors instead of 3, i wonder if it would work?

i tested it by running power off my battery, but it didnt have enough suction to pull the diaphragm connected to the throttle. I ordered a used vacuum pump on ebay, which should be here today.
