spider
Your '96 is equipped with the GEMS engine management system and AS10 alarm unit. The AS10 handles the immobilization function along with the alarm. These trucks do not use the "spider". The "spider" was found in the Lucas control trucks.
Here's a page on the 96 NAS, the alarm inhibits crank relay; but as Higgs mentioned, the ECU and the Lucas AS10 talk to each other and inhibit other things like fuel pump request, etc. The system is not made to be easy to compromise in 30 seconds by local kids. Guess these trucks cost so much new that anyone that could afford them toted around sacks of gold to pay dealer fees....
thanks guy for the quick response ok were is this thing at ,is it the one under the pass side , it has the stumble when going down the road and the alarm set and wont let it start ,got used and not key fob and here in kingman, their lucky they even know what it is .lol

Another thing, before it starts to get warm, make sure your cooling system is up to snuff.
