Default Spring cleaning- deep clean of original paint

Hard to imagine, but underneath all the grim and oxidation is beautiful original Trek paint. God knows how long it will take, but hand cleaning is getting good results. The rear door has one spot that shows the contrast. Oh boy, the roof is going to take days!

Beautiful color!

The only spot on mine I can find like that was up under the brake pedal. Like new red paint! Ha

Hot water and simple green so far and once it resembles yellow- using turtle wax rubbing compound. There are faster ways- but I don’t want to have a buffer burn through the paint or loose too much. They are only original
once. It would be faster to prep and repaint compared to rubbing compound. Slow and steady!
