Default Stalling.

1995 disco 3.9, 167,000,

I just did the head gaskets. after I got it back together she ran beautifully except when she warms up and i come to a complete stop the idle drops and sometimes stalls. it is not till i come to a complete stop that this happens. when its cold it does not do this. and , it did not do this before i did the head gaskets. I checked for vacuum leaks and found none. the check engine light is on but have not had the codes read yet. the light was not on before the HG job.....Any thoughts?

Idle air control valve is my guess.
Either unplugged, out of calibration or bad.

There is a way to calibrate it, I'm not sure how, I think there is a how to in the tech section.
The dealer can do it in about 5 min, but you can do it at home.

OK, so I have to admit my mistakes here....When I did the head gaskets, I had to take the throttle linkage off. When I got the engine back together and put the linkage back on I unscrewed the idle linkage in order for it to be easy to put on......needless to say, I forgot to set the idle back to normal. It has been 2 weeks since i got it back together and have been stressing about the stalling. I set the idle to 700 and now she runs like a dream.....AND, I passed emissions. Never overlook the simple things.
