Default Starting Issues

Hello all, new here. Ive got a problem. Ive went through some issues installing a new radio in my 94 D1, The radio that i replaced was not the stock one.
Ive had the dash apart a couple times and have had no issues, my problem now is my truck wont start. It cranks fine. Is there anything in the dash that i could have pulled, twisted, grounded out that would cause this problem?
Ive checked fuses and the code box under the seat.
My next option to fix it is a big hammer.
Thanks in advance.
Ron

Lot's of things that could cause a no start..The spider ( if your model has one ) is underneath the radio in the guts of the dash...If it's come unplugged then there you go..The spider is the slang name for the immobilizer module which has been known to bite folks right in the *** when they least expect it.. As in fail due to cold solder joints on the PC Board..

Also, Did you have the battery disconnected then reconnect it with the hood switch up ? If so it may be immobilized for that reason.. Unplug the hood switch then disconnect the battery for half an hour..
Then reconnect and see what happens. Mine started the next day after my working on the alternator and jacking with the battery...

My fuel pump wouldn't run (immobilizer) I think... I never checked for spark...But it would crank... Tried the locking and unlocking with the key and fob ?

When you turn the key to "on" or position #2, Do you hear the fuel pump run ?

Thanks for the ideas.... Gonna try the hood switch first. if that doesnt work ill pull the dash again.
Ive never heard the fuel pump run before. I did check the breaker under the hood and it didnt pop.
After those two things, if i have no joy then i will go further.
Again thanks for the ideas.

I think I'd just button it all up and see what it does in the AM..

Cause mine started the next day.. You might get lucky...

Haunted usually means a funky ground somewhere... Check and clean and re do any grounds you can find... Especially between the battery/engine/frame....

Fuel, Air, Spark.. That's what an engine needs to run.. Check for the fuel and spark.. The air is usually not the issue....Unless you've had a critter crawl into your intake...
Or a potato in your tailpipe !

Dome light is the MFU (multi function unit) on back of fuse block. Fuel pump should run for a second or two when key turned on, there is a pressure test point on the fuel rail passenger side. Should come up to 30 - 34 PSI. Fuse 6 under the hood. Fuse 3 in small extra fuse panel 1 under dash.

There is a purple/white wire that runs in/out of the inertia switch on firewall (reset inertia switch, just in case you have been beating your dead horse). That wire should go to 12 volts or better when truck needs to crank and run. Fuel pump will draw about 5 amps.

First off thanks for the help. Im sure im going to have many more questions.
But this is a prime example why i dont listen to my doctors......
This was killin me, was ready to pull the fuel filter and tank unit.....Decided to look at the fuses behind the right kick panel one more time, friend stepped on my foot and i punched the fuses and the damn truck started.
So worse case i gotta replace a couple fuses. Thank god i lost all my hair a long time ago.
