steamin exhaust

Default steamin exhaust

hi all
can anyone diagnose this.
new coolant pump fitted
now occasionally emits steam from exhaust
coolant level static and uncontaminated
oil same
is it the head gasket?
or something i am missing?
my brain is spinnin !

might be condensation at warm up, might be very small leak. chemical test for exhaust gas in coolant?

From what I understand it is normal to have some steam in exhaust.... You said you arent losing coolant right? if that is the case I wouldnt jump to HG. Once again I am no expert, just basing this on what I have learned from the gurus here.

this steamin only happens after 5 miles of running

Compression test engine and cooling system.
Remove and inspect condition of spark plugs. Look for one that's different than the rest. Keep them in order when you remove them. One will be steamed clean if you have coolant getting into the cylinder.
Could be head gasket or intake manifold gasket.
You won't know until you do more testing.

well.... don't bother pulling the spark plugs. ha ha.

diesel is great but the coolant pump bearing broke and seal went ,dumped all the coolant. i think i have damaged the gasket or the head !!
(i didnt look for the spark plugs haha)
