Default Steering box leak?

Hi guys, my 94 has been leaking steering fluid since I got it, I assumed it was the hoses so I replaced all 3, but it appears to be coming out the side of the box??? Is this possible?

Very possible and common. You can rebuild yourself, which isn't too hard if you're comfortable with mechanical work, you can have it rebuilt by a professional, or you can buy a new from BuyAutoParts, which is just a rebuilt unit out of E. Asia - your unit may be decent quality or crap (mine was crap).

Maybe spray it down with brake cleaner and see if you can pinpoint the leak better. There are several seals that could potentially leak, and seal kits are available. I re-built one, not too difficult and a learning experience. I followed the Workshop Manual.

I also rebuilt my PS Pump in my D2 with great success, but there were a couple of tiny parts inside that I wasn’t aware of and that I was lucky not to lose. As said above, it’s easy to rebuild. If you’re replacing the bearing a press would be handy. (The bearing replacement isn’t necessary to repair your leak).
