Default steering box problem

My 97 Disco 1 has alot of fluid leaking from the steering box. I don't know if the steering box needs to be replaced or if there is a leak at one of the hose connections. Is there a way to check to see where the leak is coming from so I don't have to spend $500 on a new steering box versus just replacing the hoses.

Thanks.

What Mike said, degrease the steering box and engine, and make sure that you are adding Dexron III to the power steering system, geta quart with ATF stop leak in it and top off your P/S resevoir.
Very rarely will you need a new steering box.
