I am experiancing a death wobble at interstate speeds and hitting a bump. I went under the vehicle today an the drag link ends are shot/cracked and loose. I can move the drag link end that connects to the gearbox arm back and forth...Probably not too good if this one breaks. All the other rubber tie rod ends on track rod are also shot. This is probably a result of my previous power steering leak which is now fixed. Do I need a whole new drag link or just the ends? Where is a good source to buy this and how easy is it to replace.

 

They are replacable individually. Its not a real hard job just need to take good measurements so you get everything back together corectly if not youll have to take it to get an alignment done. I just got a heavy duty setup threw lucky8 it took me about an 1.5 hours to do but the kit came with all new hardware (tie rod and drag link with all 4 ends). Its also a good time to replace the steering damper while your down there.

When I replaced all 4 of my rod ends, I had to remove the whole drag link & track bar, put the end link in a vice and use a pipe wrench on the bar to loosen. Mine were in there pretty tight. Also, if they give you problems, heat helps.

If replacing the all of them, an alignment is almost a must do after.

BTW, check you're bushings while under there, esp the panhard rod

 

I tried to move the panhard rod and it still seems very firm. Probably could replace the bushings to be safe as the fluid was dripping on them too. Also I see some are RH thread and LH thread. Which ones do I need?

 

I bought the kit, there is 3 of one thread, one of the other, but I dont remember which is which.

 

for the drag link, one RH and one LH. The track rod in the back takes 2 rh.
