Default Stuck in drive!

Good Evening everyone!

My 1995 landrover disco sport is stuck in drive... In Park, neutral, reverse, and of course, drive, it will go forward only... I guess if it were to be stuck in any gear, this is the best-case scenario lol. I Have a couple of ideas of what it could be... perhaps the shifter cable or maybe its electrical... I sure hope it's nothing major with the transmission... Although that doesn't seem to be the case as it drives and flips through the gears fine when going forwards. Would love any feedback on what I should do first besides making sure my fluids are topped up, which they are!

Thanks and I appreciate any help!

Some more info... the shifter will click into all gears like normal but seems to be able to move freely between drive and 3rd...

Mine sometimes doesn't go all the way into park, so I use the E-brake when I park. Sounds like a cable problem but I have not had a shifter apart to say for sure.

Thanks, I figured out my issue this morning and yes it was a cable issue... The pin fell out and that was the reason it was stuck in drive... Glad it was nothing a paper clip couldn't fix!
