Stupid clock question.
I replaced my digital clock with an analog, looks much better than the digital. I used only three wires, clock, light, and ground. Use a multimeter to figure out which wire is always hot=clock power. I think one of the wires came on with either the key or with the headlights, that got wired to the light bulb. Ground was black, I think. If I get a chance, I'll go pull it back out out and see what color wires went where.

Here is a few pics showing which wires go where and the tabs on the top and bottom that hold the clock in place. Feeler gauges work very well to remove the clock. Notice the top right tab is inset from the edge and not directly above the bottom right tab. It lights up and dims with the dash lights. Keeps good time and looks right for the vehicle. Very easy to adjust the time, just turn the wheel.

It's an RRC analog clock. I'm going to put mine in this week. Got mine from Paul, there are a few floating around.
Yep, I didn't need the green wire for the analog clock. I think the green wire is for the digital display and is hot when you turn the key. The clock is from a range rover. Fits perfectly. I think I paid $15 for it on ebay.
