Default Sunroof

Anyone actually taken one apart. I mean the rails were everything slides. I taken on apart but it was broken so easy.
Now I have that has one broken slider (black) I have the spare.
From one end you have a folded tab, from the aluminum rail itself. From the other side the black slider has a tab that catches on a opening at the bottom of the aluminum rail.

My guess is that going out the tab end is the way, but I’m very hesitant to folded back straight.

So, I know that the whole worm mechanism was available, so there is a way to do it properly.

Default Got it

After looking at the problem (rail’s) I figured it out very simple really. Now does the worm cable needs lubrication of any kind.

Good work on the rails. Silicon spray lube works well on plastic parts and minimizes dirt build-up (compared to grease and oil), but may need to reapply from time to time. I gave up and sealed them.

Default Thanks

Well I’ll give that a try. I’m planning on keeping one. The other will be gone, I might have inner plastic rails done in aluminum, because the plastic one brake often, they get forced with all the dirt and junk inside. I’ll start putting one together soon, but the control box, seems to be clicking a lot.
