Default suspension question

Ok so this may seem like an idiot question.

I have both a 97 Disco 1 and an 89 classic range rover.
I got into an accident with the disco, and the transfer case on the 89 range rover is shot. The idea is to take both the axles off the disco and put them on the range rover classic. I was told that this may be possible because many of the parts on the disco are interchangeable with the range rover classics.
if the gear ratio matches I will probably just switch the front, any ideas will this work at all?

Just measure up the width, spring pearch spacing, control arm mount spacing, etc and see if it all matches up. I'm betting RR axles may be a little wider. But may not.

The transfer case is shot on the RR so you are going to replace the axles from the LR to the RR

Yes, the transfer case and the front end are shot. So the idea is to replace both.

Drop them a line, they would be able to help you out in what will interchange with what, and what else may be needed, if anything, to make it all work.
