Hey guys (and gals!). Well ... I'm still in the search for the ever elusive Landy out here in Las Vegas. It seems that out here they've turned into a "poor man's (or woman's) Range Rover. So just having that nifty little green badge is a status symbol!

Anyways, I digress. Since now these trucks are not really used as the LR gods intended them to be used, but more as inter-city commuters. Stop and go traffic, 120+ degrees on the asphalt in the summer, dust everywhere ... yada yada yada.

Are there any region and climate specific issues I should be worried about when looking?

I read the tech portion showing the overarching general issues and everything, but since these trucks were driven inner city on asphalt for most/all their lives, could there be any "extra" issues I should look for?

 

No extra things to look out for.
Just regular maintenance like any other car.
Try and check out everything to make sure it works.

 

I would change out all the hoses and rubber tubing and such. They usually degrade more with hot temps over extended timeframes.
