Could you hook a plow up to one of these? I know you need a big trans cooler if you do but do you think if this thing were well maintained and you monitored your temps and pressures well that you could hook it up to a plow? If so do they even make a plow that would fit? Just thought that would be pretty cool and a great way for my truck to earn it's own roof rack and hd half Shafts etc

Personally Id never put a plow on anything smaller then a tri axle dump truck. But I seen somewhere online someone using a newer style fiberglass plow on a D1 so it can be done. I guess Ive seen too many twisted frames and entire front ends just tore up from using plows on any light or medium duty trucks.

I just thought that'd be a real quick way to have the rover earn its own money. I guess if the snow gets heavy it could really mess you up though. I watched my boss at a gas station I worked at in high school make money hand over fist with a plow truck. It was an old beat up gmc something or other

I looked into a plow for my previous vehicles, Jeep and F150, and a good plow is thousands of dollars. Even though my street is LAST to be plowed every time, I couldn't justify it.

thats when you KNOW you have too much money, when you can put a plow on a rolls and not care.

Craigslist has some plows for just a few hundred bucks, i was thinking about that. And theres a site that has intro level plows for like 1300, but idk, brian might be right, these trucks might just be too light duty for something as stupid as pushing around a lot of snow, but it would make me money to do more fun stuff with the truck.....sigh

you should see the RROC forums... definitely a glimpse into how "the other side" lives

but honestly i dont see how putting a smaller plow for driveways or something could hurt your truck. im assuming youre not plowing football field sized areas with 6ft of snow on them?

You should plan on buying a good plow, and spending every spring rebuilding the front end. But it can definitely be done well and right allowing plenty of use for you.

Get a beater truck or they also have good side by side quads builot for it.

I saw one program where they took a 6x6 mountd a tent on the top, a winch front and rear, bigger seats and some real fancy wheels. That thing went anywhere except on the road.
