I've got some stink as well........
After about 2 hours of online research on multiple sites I found the pump I
thought was best on NAPA's website......(Never Any Parts Available)....jotted
down my part number & dropped in on my local NAPA to order.........Well, it
seems my part number was now a fuel 'filter'......all their Delphi part numbers
changed 'in store' vs their website.......an hour and a 1/2 later I walked out
with 'nothing'.....very helpful, we went through standing inventory & searched
their online system and could no longer find the requested part or anything
else that may have worked by cross referencing their own system.........

Another 1.5 hours of my life wasted.........

Back online............Narrowed it down and ordered the Airtek E8445 from
Rockauto.....even with express shipping no one came close to the price,
O'Reilly's for example was over $45 more......ebay offerings $5-25 more.

Another......1.5 hours of my life lost to research.........I'm getting old!!!

But it's ordered, should do the trick........I'll let you know.

Cool, I just ordered $300 worth of candy from Rockauto, I've been in the same boat and it's tough to beat their prices. Most box stores it's about a 70% markup from Rock's prices.... It's a crappy Saturn for God's sake not a Barchetta!

I'm typically an ebay 'buy now' guy.......but they couldn't beat the 'Rock
this time!

Barchetta you say?.............

Alrighty then......
With a wink, a smile and the single turn of the key..........
BAMM!!
Houston......We have ignition.......Done, problem solved.

I'll maybe post a photo tomorrow.....

Meanwhile........

Hey, it's just a good tune...........

Follow up.......

After putting a few miles on the tramp yesterday, I have to wonder
just how long that fuel pump was under performing......it's like a
totally different truck.....it actually goes.....I'm slightly impressed.

Add "Check fuel rail pressure' to your hit list of things to do on a
regular basis......I maybe should have done it 6 months ago looking
back.......I'll never know but that's about when I started getting
gun shy around her........

You're making me miss mine....... cool that your repair was not the usual fix. Now that my TIG lunchbox is up and running I'm welding stainless structural tubing (free and endless supply) to the Splaturn rear subframe, I could've easily done the same on the truck. Ah well, it's Rovah parts to somebody now.

It would make it up to your place no problem 'Scouts, plenty of welding
left to do....but the hard stuff is done, give you a smoken' deal! LOL!!

More miles, still running great!
Deff. the way to go if your lines are bad, why make life harder than
it has to be?....

Still owe the thread a picture!

I don't doubt it and thanks for the offer, I barely have enough time to wipe. I'm so worn out I slept 11 hours. I barely had enough poop to wash the car, sweep the garage floor and put tools away from three days ago work on the Splaturn. Worked 8 9-10 hour days straight, one day off and then three in hell to get to the other side. Refrigeration is hard down for electrical, waste water is suffering from pump prime and we'll be processing cherries this week. Right now we aint squeezing, freeze'n, or ****'n at the plant. The Scout is to the rescue. The Splaturn needs the rear struts, front control arms, brakes all the way around plus one more trailing arm/frame section left and then I can take a short break after it's aligned. Then it'll be up to my satisfaction. Two more weeks of hump'n left and then I'll be dry as a desert bone..... I've had so little time the battery finally crapped on the car, got seven years out of a four year battery, was hitting boost on chargers here and at work to get back and forth. Finally last night had enough time to run to Walmart and grab a cheap $46 dollah job with a one year warranty, should last four......

Yep, need pics or it doesn't count.
