Default Three of four windows quit..

Took out the console to work on the CDL shifter.. When I put it back together.. Three out of four windows won't work now...

They were working fine before I unplugged the switches to work on the CDL..The only thing plugging them into the wrong connector would cause is the wrong window to work.. The fronts were the only ones I unplugged as the rest of the panel is falling apart and doesnt' hold the switches. The drivers switch is working that window correctly...

Haven't checked fuses yet.. Just wondering what's going on ? Fuses good...

Any Ideas ? I touched it and now something else is broken... Can't seem to fix one thing without breaking two more...

Did you check the fuses? Not trying to be a jerk, but if everything worked until you started mucking with the system you must have done something to affect all three now non-functioning windows. Unlikely to be working on the CDL and then, coincidentally, three out of four motors/regulators decide to die. Crimp any wires? Dislodge any?

I think the fuses are front and rear, so if one window works in the front but the other doesn't, it probably isn't the fuse for at least the front.

Did you confirm that each switch operates at least the working window by swapping the connectors?

There are three fuses (F1, F2 - satellite fuse strip, F15 main fuse panel - all in same area). Could easily be a ground wire disturbed in console area.

There you go.. Thats a logical explanation..
I was looking at the lockout switch for the rear windows too..

I'm gonna swap some stuff around and see what's what.. And check those grounds...

One would think in the UK where the weather is far less than good.. They would design a little better wiring harness.

We're getting ready for our first snow on Christmas Day here..

I think I've got her ready... At least the windows are up..

Default New Symptom

Got in the truck this morning to take it to the alignment shop..... Dead...

Battery is charging now... So.. Whatever happened to the windows has caused a drain that completely drained a brand new battery in what.. Two or three days ? Probably was dead yesterday too..

Guess I'll pull all the associated fuses and see what's what this afternoon...

Good thing I hadn't screwed the console down yet...

I was pretty careful with the wiring.. But it's gotta be something right in there...

Just got home from working a little bit... Getting the big Simpson 260 out...

After charging the battery.. I put a little ammeter on it.. Looks like it's currently drawing about 30ma with the key off.. Oh yeah.. Now all the windows are back to working again...
AAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the rear windows work regardless of the kill switch for them... That's gotta be a ground somewhere..

Thinking about it.. When the windows were not working.. The drivers side front was normal.. The passenger side front would just make a little tiny groan.. And I couldn't hear anything at the rear windows...I don't even know where to start looking...
I did futz around with the window switch wiring loom a little...

30 mA is not the problem. The ECU and the clock and the radio memory and the alarm and the wifi module that allows dealers to download new check engine codes when you are within range all draw something.
