Default Tire size question

came across a decent set of 265/75/16 on rims for short $$, wondering if this size will fit on a stock D1 with no lift or trimming ??

That is 2.6 inches taller than stock. If it does it would be very very close. I can't imagine being able to turn the wheel without something rubbing but I'll let someone else chime in.

when I first bought my 97 d1 I put an ome lift kit and went out and put 265 size tires, didn't work at all, rubbed when turning and hit inner wells, had to immediately take them down to 255/70 which I've been running since, I think for that size you need the lift plus some cutting maybe even a small body lift, look forward to hearing what you do

I have a set of cooper 245/70/R16 on my stock truck and they do rub on tight cornering on the inside of the tires. Got a good price on them so it is worth it to go easy on the sharp turning (like parallel parking and such)

Thanks, I thought as much. The dude selling them said they came off a stock D1 but I find that a little far-fetched
