Yup, in the first link I posted that covers wiring a Disco to tow a trailer.

Could have mentioned the controller box was being used for that purpose!

I assumed "Lite Mate Converter" was explanatory. I've edited the post to make sure it's clear.

I was attempting to lay the blame back on you.

I did pick up a converter box from autozone. The wiring is not pretty but it should work.

Get some ribbon and tie it around the wiring in a bow...that's what my daughter does to make it "pretty".

Well it is not my best electrical work. In fact it is the ugliest hack I have ever done. However! It did get it home with all lights working.

Instead of the lite module I used this, only $14 at autozone.

Congrats, and looks like fun. If we ever move back to the lower 48, we want to get a tent trailer.

Now all you need to do is replace the trailer axle with one that will accept Land Rover wheels and you'll have better clearance off-road camping, and two extra spares.

Reading my mind! I have 4 extra wheels I am painting a bronze color. Question is what axle can I drop under there to handle the LR bolt pattern.

Ok.. getting ready to do the 7 pin harness.

Here is my plan. Wiring up charging power for the pop up battery through the harness connector. System will be solar when in stand alone.

My question: If any of you have done a 7 wire round plug set up what guage wire did you use for the charging wire and what did you hook it up to?
