Default Track Rod Replacement

So I attempted to replace my drivers side tie rod end ... fast forward three days and the end of the track rod is destroyed with the threaded end of tie rod snapped off inside of it.

So looks like I need to replace the whole assembly. Any suggestions where to get it besides rovahfarm? He is closed up for shop for a week or so and I need it far before then.

Thanks in advance

Salvage yard within reasonable drive? I like the u-pull-it-yourself places. Thus the name for my Disco - brought to life with parts from other dead ones, and has to be jumped started with big cables....

Call Justin at Lucky 8 and get a Heavy Duty track rod. It'll be the same price as a OEM replacement.

I replaced my track rod with the high clearance HD one from Rovertracks. If my old one wasn't bent up, I would simply send it to you for the cost of shipping...but it's in pretty bad shape. It's a long story involving a **** on a fallen tree.

Anyway, I went with their damper relocation kit and the HC HD track rod, if you get them both, you get a discount. If you haven't looked at relocating your damper, it's a fairly good idea. My old one can attest to this

I got a used drag link with new tie rod ends supplied with it from Will Tillery. If you are looking for a good price on a used one, try Will or Paul Grant.
