trans filter change

Default trans filter change

is there any way to get the pan out without dropping the cross member?

also...can the cross member be taken out without removal of the y-pipe?

Yes, no, kinda.
You must remove the cross member but you only need to loosen the y-pipe.

Its not an easy job by any means. You can loosen the Y pipe enough to move the crossmember out of the way. It makes it easier if you have a porta-power to spread the frame rails to move the crossmember (its a tight fit)

This is probably the only thing I hate about the D1 Disco's is the darn crossmember crap removal for a transmission filter

Thursday is the day..ups shows 93lbs ...sunday is the install day...getting new front brakes...rubberized shock tower ring...hopefully a good day
