I have a 98 disco and she has 174,000 plus. And when it was down shifting ,it was making this sound squaling rattling sound never heard before, it was from 2nd to 1st. And when drove in the parking lot in 1st gear the sound stop then I put it in Reverse and made the sound again? I'm new to the seen of land rover and I'm pretty machial savay so I have done a lot work to this all ready and it had a lot work done to it when I bought it. I have not checked the transfer case fuild yet to see if it is full or needs to be change on my to do list but does anyone have any insight on this matter thanks. J
