Where's the transfer case filler plug

RE: Where's the transfer case filler plug
Regarding the transfer case fill plug on the Disco II - I was doing some crawling around under there the other day, and decided to check the oil level. My problem wasn't finding the plug, it was getting a ratchet or small breaker bar on there in the first place! ( I finally got a universal into there, but realized the more I back it out, the tougher the job will become.) Does anyone have any suggestions for getting that plug off for level checking / refilling? And on a related note, what's that cable or tube leading up from the case to a fitting on the underside of the body (that's so well in the way that it may have been designed to obstruct!)? And can it be safely disconnected to perform the oil level check / fill?
thanks in advance!

Bill,
I use a 1/2" rachet from a socket set, slips right in.
What oil are you using, are you staying with the factorys idea of synthetic oil or chamging, you of course can use the same in both diffs.
By the way Bill, I am moving to Parker the end of this month, maybe we can meet up for a trail or two.
