Default Transfer case

Will a transfer case from a 1997 work in a 1995?

But you should be able to get it off the donor of the transfercase.

Yes. That shaft with long splines will fit any LT230, but the shaft with short splines that MAY have come on your 1995 will not fit the later LT230. The redesigned the input gear or something.
