Default Transfer case drain plug CRAP

Well boys I’m in some serious trouble. I went to change my transfer case fluid and the drain plug broke off in the case. The threads are all completely gone and the magnetic end of the plug is still threaded in. Tried to drill it to get an extractor in there but the magnet is too hard. If I could just get the magnet out I could tap and dye a new hole for the plug but I’m stuck for now. Any ideas?

ps not the best pic but you can see the magnetic end still in the threads and all threads below it gone

Had the same thing happen on my 96. Drained and filled by pulling inspection plate bolts. Not a great solution but got me through a few years of ownership.
You also might be able to pull the inspection plate and work on it from that angle?

That’s what I was thinking as well pull the inspection plate and see if I can thread it or beat it into the case and fish it out
