Default Truck problems

Okay, so we swapped the transmission, and rebuilt the transfer case. I put the driveshafts back in, the exhaust, fluids, and spark plugs and wires. The truck will crank but it doesn't move. The drivehafta don't spin when in gears. I'm at a loss, any one have an answer?

Side note, the lever on the transmission shifts when changing gears. It sounds like the extra noise is coming from the bowl part on the transmission.

Check the trans fluid level it could be low, also check the CDL lever to make sure it is not in the middle Neutral it should be in the high position, as for the noise you hear coming from the transmission bell housing, did you install the four bolts located in the flywheel that attaches to the torque converter?

I didn't do that part of it, so I'm not sure. We've checked fluid twice. Added more the second time. Is the Cdl on the transfer case?

The CDL lever mounts on top of the transmission it is the smaller shifter that is mounted further forward than the actual gear shifter. Try this with someone in the truck ready to pull the e-brake if the truck begins to roll away. While the truck is off, the truck is in park, can you push the vehicle forward or backward, if so your CDL lever is in Neutral, if the vehicle moves a foot or less and stops on its own the CDL is engaged, lever forward is low and lever towards the rear is high.

We had jacked the truck up and put on concrete blocks. I checked the fluid level then, it started dripping out. I put the plug in, we put the truck in neutral and pushed it off the blocks. My boyfriend checked it once it was on flat ground, and put even more in until it was gushing out. It cranks right up no problem. I will try this in the morning with my mom, and get back to you.
Also, how exactly am I checking this, like what process do I do?

Okay, so I've done a lot of learning. On some land rovers the 4wd shifter moves in an h pattern. On mine, and my mom's it's just low neutral high. Which means the cdl has to be moved manually. How do I determine if it's in neutral? Also, when changing the transmission and transfer case, the torque converter wasn't changed on it. Would the cdl completely stop the vehicle from moving?

After thought the torque converter was not removed at all through the process. A neighbors friend told me that 1. The torque converter was probably loose and that explained the noise I heard from the bell housing, and 2. There was probably no fluid in the torque converter.
He said I should be able to get to it all through the dust shield and not have to drop the transmission again. He also said as long as I put transmission fluid in the transmission, that the torque converter would fill up as well.

There is a round inspection cover underneath the bell housing of the transmission it has 3 bolts that attach the cover, you can remove the cover and see if the torque converter is spinning while the engine is on, the transmission is in park, and the emergency brake is engaged. if the torque converter is not spinning and you hear the noise in that location it is probably missing the 4 bolts that attach from the flywheel to the torque converter with out that the truck will never move forward or back.

I drained the gear oil from the transfer case, will that hurt it, not having that in there and running it long enough to check through the dust shield? I took the driveshaft, front and back, out and the middle exhaust pipe. Do i check that with the transmission fluid in it? I appreciate all your help man.
