I thoroughly enjoy my UltraGauge. I will probably purchase another for the new car.

So is it worth it?

Those that have had their gauge for awhile, are you happy with it?

If you're concerned about coolant temp you're better off with an analog gauge anyway. You don't have to actually read it to know you're ok.
Mount it at a location that's in your peripheral vision with it clocked so normal is at 12 o'clock.
Same with oil pressure gauges.

Yes I am VERY happy with it.
I have it set up so the page I see everyday is average MPH from trip start, average MPG from trip start, engine temp, RPM, miles from trip start and run time trip start.
Trip start means from when you start the engine until you shut it off, then it resets and starts over next time you start the engine.
But on one of my other pages that I can scroll too I have total average MPH, average MPG, total miles, total run time.
Again I am very happy with it, and you can set alarms to notify you of things like engine temp, and you can set the temp and when the alarm goes off and how long/loud it is.
I have all alarms off.
The only thing else I wish it did was oil PSI.
The only problem I have had with it is I have bumped the plug with my foot and unplugged it while climbing in the truck, this has only happened once and was a fluke.

So is the stock temp gauge junk? Mine is rock steady right in the middle. It has not ever approached the red. I want to invest in a UG, but I want to know how crappy the stock gauge is in the meantime.

Consensus is that the stock temperature guage is junk.
I have an UG, yet to use it, hope to start truck soon.
My Dad has an UG in his Dodge truck, and it works great.
You can monitor up to 4 things on the main screen, and pick which ones you want.
The UG reads everything from the ecu.
Worth buying one.

I myself have both, UG and bluetooth thingy. I leave the UG plugged up 23.983/7 unless I need to reset the adaptive values. Then I plug in the bluetoothy bit and reset via phone app.
Just my personal preference.

How are you resetting the adaptive values with an app?
