As long as the drugs are good....

How much water vapor are you talking about? What's the air temperature when you see it? Have you tried a different brand of gasoline?

This could be just water in the gas, or it could be a blown head gasket or anything in between.

Its hot out...In the 80s
no new gas.
copious amounts of steam.
I think i put the thermostat in backwards.
The drugs are great, but the mess my head up. I thought my name was fruit of the loom for 6 months.

What was the temp the night before? Maybe condensation built up in the muffler and was just steaming up during warmup. Did it clear up eventually?

If it smells like gas, you're ok. If it smells like coolant, or you're losing coolant, you're.. not ok. If your drugs are too good, you're both.

Vehicle type??
I didn't think it was possible to install a thermostat backwards. Then again, could be those good drugs everyone is talking about.

my friends and i, John Paul George and Ringo went out to look. the vapor smells like coolant, i was out with the truck ans saw it when i got back.
And the thermostat fits in either way.
the pic in the workshop manual isnt clear about a direction. but the water flow is from the engine past the thermostat back to the radiator.

If the vapor smells like coolant, you might need new head gaskets. If it smells like bong water, you spilled it on your exhaust manifolds. Be more careful next time!

yes spring definitly faces engine or rear in this case since the spring part is what needs to warm up to open the stat, also the one I just removed had a small check ball to let air out to help "burp" the motor if yours has this it has to be on the top
